New Arrivals... Rare breed Oxford Sandy and Black.

So done NYC, Tokyo, Kamakura, Drunk on New Year and the snow.. And its only Friday 9th January ..... Plus the pigs have arrived.. After visited Japan for many years and falling in love with their food, there is a simple point. The quality of the food, the right season, where it has come from, why does it taste so great!
The Japanese Empire loved The Middle White Pig for its Pork, its a small rare breed pig which has a mouth watering taste, not a commercial pig as its small and slow growing. We got these after 8 weeks once its weined off the mother. What l didn't know is you can't get pork and bacon from the same animal because pork comes from a younger animal, for the bacon we have gone for a Oxford Sandy & Black which is a great bacon pig but can be used for pork. l went for the Oxford Sandy and Black because l saw it at the Bath & West Show and it looks so great, ginger with black markings.. very good looking and alot of fun running and jumping..

So how does this fit with fashion...
The way l see it fashion was always about looking forward and what will be fashionable. l believe traceability and knowledge of the old ways will be become more important.. l can drink Stella, but l know its a licensed chemical lager and l will have a sore head in the morning. lf l eat a bacon sandwich and the package says 87% Pork (what is the 13%) and from Denmark, what does this mean? l've been told all that means is its packaged in Denmark. What was this pig, where did it come from, what did it eat, what am l eating?
lts the same with our clothing l know where the fabric has come from, sometimes the designer and family of the mill plus the machinists.... When you see jeans and clothing for silly £cheap where is this from? Anyway its Friday night and off for some of that chemical Lager..... Do l sound to old to say a pint of IPA, real Ale...? Sh*t l'm getting old....
