Monday and its Wet out there.

But l need to get the beds sorted for the raspberries and hedging as l'm going to London tomorrow.

Sunday and to the Pub.

Its a Rainy old Sunday and there is nothing else to do but go to the Pub, there is a very cool place in Welcombe, traditional with a big twist for the countryside.. Its a surf pub with great beer and food.. So this is where l spent the day, a reason to get the tweeds out.

Down in Devon

Does it get better than this? Hartland and Clovelly in Devon where the Griffin Operation is based, is looking pretty damn beautiful right now. The tiny fishing village of Clovelly switched on its Christmas lights the other day, the display is something else, plus all the donations go to the amazing R.N.L.I who brave the wild weather and storms of the North Devon Coast to save lives.

Fox Bros.

Went and visited the Fox Bros factory yesterday... the old factory employed 800 people in the old build now knocked down. I only know of 2 wool mills in the south, and fox does the best flannel in the country.

This season we have used a beautiful Fox Bros tweed and Flannel in the Griffin Quay Coat, Minehead, USMC Shorts, Bearskin Coat and Exmoor Jacket. - Tradition meets Technology, embodied.

Quay Coat

Just have a look and see the quality of manufacturing, Bonded wool, laser cut,  the cloth, and cut.. Its such a lovely coat..

My Biker Pant

l have this trouser and here it is hanging in the factory, the shape is fantastic and love to give it turn ups. l haven't washed them since Japan and the fabric from Limonta is getting better and better you would think its from an old Barbour, but its easy and with stretch in it.. l love them, also l keep going on about the Quay coat let me go and take a photo..

The Biker Pant

Another great piece from this seasons collection, the pant is slim cut and features intricate asymmetric and oval paneling on the leg,
allowing it to take on a three dimensional shape even when lying flat and creating a fantastic fit.
The Supa Wet material is an Italian cotton sateen that has almost a dry wax look with a softer, less paper-like drape. Available in Black and Midnight. Its a limited edition so head over to the shop to get your hands on a pair now:

mADE in iTAly

This is the sample unit with the boys and girls working on Dior, Moncler, Jil Sander and Armani.. But its an area which is very creative, there is a massive difference from here to made in China... Why is Made in Italy better.. This is a part of it..

Here is my mobile office, iplayer listening to Gilles Peterson, a mug of tea, what more can l ask for?

Computerized cutting machine.

So it was an early start 4.30am to get to the airport to fly into ltaly to see my factory, l have been working here for over 10 years and l always love to see how things get made, its fascinating to see how the industry works, its alot faster than most things as it completely changes due to the seasons, due to the trend and the need to run faster and faster. This why l was interested to see how farming works, and yes they work hard. But when you plant something it takes up to 10 mouths from seed to harvest, at the moment l'm planning to plant 100's of trees with this l need to think 10years minimum. But 10 years fly, so should we speed up or slow down... As l'm running.. Love and Peace and here are some images..
