mADE in iTAly

This is the sample unit with the boys and girls working on Dior, Moncler, Jil Sander and Armani.. But its an area which is very creative, there is a massive difference from here to made in China... Why is Made in Italy better.. This is a part of it..

Here is my mobile office, iplayer listening to Gilles Peterson, a mug of tea, what more can l ask for?

Computerized cutting machine.

So it was an early start 4.30am to get to the airport to fly into ltaly to see my factory, l have been working here for over 10 years and l always love to see how things get made, its fascinating to see how the industry works, its alot faster than most things as it completely changes due to the seasons, due to the trend and the need to run faster and faster. This why l was interested to see how farming works, and yes they work hard. But when you plant something it takes up to 10 mouths from seed to harvest, at the moment l'm planning to plant 100's of trees with this l need to think 10years minimum. But 10 years fly, so should we speed up or slow down... As l'm running.. Love and Peace and here are some images..

Back in the Country

Its full Autumn and the mushrooms are out, on my facebook l have been told there are some very strange stories about mushrooms, reindeer's piss and Father Christmas.. check it out.. Also its shooting season and we love a pheasant beast pan fried in olive oil and cranberries .. Enjoy

Just back from Tokyo and my new coat has arrived, yes the delivery is late but l have been told 3 stores have sold out already. So what makes it special, the fabric, the clean lines, the fit or the laser cutting and non stitch seams, as this garment is taking technology and quality to the edge... We don't have many in stock but our distributor has asked if we can rerun for next year.. What do you think? Yes its 5am.. But that's Jetlag for you..

More from the Autumn/Winter 11 Collection

The nights may be drawing in and the temperature is certainly dropping but for a few hours each day on the north Devon coast the light quality is just perfect, so we couldn't resist getting outdoors and taking some shots of the classic Griffin Flying pant.

The style was originally developed from military paratrooper uniforms and features the iconic darted knee patches, front flap, stud fastening pockets and two jean style back pockets.

This season the Flying Pant comes in military Olive and Slate, and looks great with the Stibb jacket and the Quay coat.
