Finished the landscaping, fantastic how great is it to have a digger and driver called Pete... he is the man! we managed to get the walled veg garden, duck pond, BMX ramps, and the campsite sorted..

Spa break for the buffalos

Now this will make you laugh, last night we had just finished a hand smoked ham joint slow cooked in a Moroccan lentil soup. Feeling very smug with myself "i am the man, Jamie Oliver and Hugh fearnley Whittingstall combined" and very full we sat down to relax. Only to have the neighbour come to the door saying, "I've just seen your 2 large black water buffalo's running.. Really quite fast along the top road, they seem very excited". O shit, okay l have been playing farmers for 8 mouths now but only with animals behind fences, how the hell do you find and get them to come home? So we jumped in the land rover and raced off towards last siting, being such large animals it wasn't to difficult to spot these two run down the lane towards Hartland point. Until they disappeared into a luxury spa holiday let garden. What a sight our girls on the lawn next to the washing lines.., now how do we get them home even out of this persons garden, with all the excitement they are very flighty charging up and down.

So to cut this story short as it's time for breakfast.. We managed to get them home, I wouldn't say with our skill.. They just run off with us trying to catch up with them in the land rover .. And went home..

But how did they get out? was it the job l gave to Elvis to water the new grass seed?

Digger Man

A lot has happened on the farm this week in preparation for the campsite, the area has been leveled and some of the topsoil put to better use....costs a fortune that stuff.
The cesspool has been dug into the ground and we're preparing for the poly-tunnel.

Tradition meets technology with the technical thai pant

A great piece featuring the same wide leg fit as the Thai pant the Technical Thai Pant features bonded zip pockets on the front hips and one horizontal pocket on the back giving the pant a more technical feel to the overall look. This pant was initially developed from a snow pant and traditional Thai trouser. Made from a Polyester/Cotton Ripstop fabric. Low crotch with gusset, to allow for plenty of room in the seat. New Video for the SS11 Hanoi Pant

This new video for the SS11 Hanoi Pant is the next in a series showing the fit and movement of our trousers. The Hanoi Pant was derived from the styling of the USMC pant, but with a straight, slimmer fit on the leg and the crotch is not-so low slung. Made from a great quality Mid-weight Italian Cotton Twill and is limited edition.

What a day to be British! We've got the flag out in celebration of the wedding and it's now time to party with the pigs.

As Jeff put the final fence posts in the ground he was knocked one tooth down after the post banger got the better of him...at least he looks like a real farmer now!

So the pigs went off to piggy heaven, now before you say anything... Think do you know where your food comes from? Our pigs have had a great life, running free in the field, good food, loved and slowly reared.. But its time to take 4 of them to Cornish Farmers for bacon and pork, we left the Oxford & Sandy Blacks for real smoked bacon, then the Middle White pigs off to the butcher Robbie to make into joints.. Then with the great meat from the cheeks l made a giant Pork Pie... have a look, also l have put in a veggie dish l did for the small school yesterday LaSAGNE!

Spring is here... And l'm loving it...

So it was a long winter, which l enjoyed those long windy walks along the coast line .. But its all go now Spring has arrived and still no tourists which means l have the beaches to myself...

The Technical Bearskin - NEW for SS11

Soon arriving in store is the new range of technical garments, each manufactured using the latest technology in garment production. Featured below is a piece from the new collection, the Technical Bearskin, launched last season the new design is now available to pre-order in Digi Camouflage and an all black option. The style evolved from the sleeping bag coat, a piece Griffin became famed for in the mid 90's, which late evolved into the Bearskin a coat that when opened up flat by unzipping the jacket cuff to hem zips, created the shape of a Bear's skin. This season's design still replicates this shape but installed are fully waterproof taped zips, the two way fastening allows the wearer to open up the jacket for more ventilation when necessary. The body panels have been bonded instead of stitched to give a sleek seam-free finish to the garment.
