The Archback pant

The iconic Archback pant was originally developed from a vintage climbing trouser. This much copied, much talked about design has been part of the Griffin core collection for around 12 years and over this time it has been tweaked and refined and has evolved into the ultimate urban/outerwear hybrid.

Featuring 4 unique leg pockets the ergonomically designed legs and darted knees work perfectly with this seasons slimmer fit, whilst the archback panel remains the trousers most distinctive detail and can only be achieved due to the flexibility of our great Italian factory. The design falls on the hips and has a bit of stretch for extra movement.

This season the Archback is available in khaki with a distressed wash, tobacco and ash grey, all over-dyed on a luxuriously soft to touch, medium weight Limonta Cotton.

Great Weather and its October

Wow what great weather we have had for a week and now its back to Autumn.. We had some lovely campers over the summer and some beautiful vans, here is a very nice one, and also lovely people Sean & Jo..
We need the National Trust to keep open ShipLoad Bay as its very special.

Look at me at the age of 17 sitting with Tracey the punk at a gig, can't remember who, did see The New Model Army in Salisbury though, this was the time of The Cure, The Smith, Bauhaus, l love Bela Lugosi's Dead, this charming man, The Forest bloody hell l loved those years...

To Paris to see fabrics and have some fun.

 l have been coming to Paris for years and some things don't change... good food "on fire" crazy street art, what you can do with a bit of Chalk! And then if you find a good hotel in Taxi don't tell anyone as its never easy, its like finding a happy taxi driver, or even a Taxi.. And l found this one, next to the Moulin Rouge .. Hotel Le Chat Noir... food was great as 7 rue de la Bastille... the largest creme brulee in the world... (sorry but not the best) size and fire isn't everything....

So heres a quick snapshot of some of the Autumn/winter 11 Collection, its going live in the online shop ( www.griffin-studio.com/shop ) over the next few days so keeping checking in with us for updates and new editions to the store.

The collection takes inspiration from the new home of the Griffin Studio, Hartland in North Devon and as you've probably seen via the blog we've been having an awesome time settling into our new surroundings.

This season we bring together a mix of fabrics from traditional tweeds to wet-look cottons and 3 layer technical fabrics. We’ve also worked high shine nylons with bubble fleeces to give the ultimate textural contrast to a number of pieces culminating into a bold and exciting collection that not only represents the Griffin ethos of 'Technology meets Tradition', but also subtly underlines the importance of transparency and a sustainable future.
